Q: Has anyone at 4 weeks experienced cramping on just one side?

Im 4 weeks 1 day and I have been cramping on my left side only. Its a dull pain that hasn't gone away in a few days. I thought it was implantation but the dull cramping pain is still there.

I am currently 5w2d and I have been having cramping in general as well as cramping on only one side since 4 weeks. This is not the side I ovulated from as I only have one ovary. I am cramping on the right and I only have my left ovary. I'm wondering if this is where it implanted. I've heard its common and my RE said it was completely normal but being as this is my first, I have no idea what should feel normal.

I think it's very normal. I had that with this pregnancy and I think it's just from the side that you ovulated from, my cramping was on the side that I know I ovulated from, and it only lasted a few weeks and then went away, I'm now 17 weeks pregnant so I don't think it's anything to worry about! I was worried too but researched it and it's pretty common!

Cramping (on just one side, or both!) is quite common through the first trimester-- your uterus is getting used to a foreign object! IF it gets unbearable or if you experience spotting you should contact your healthcare professional.

I had that too at around 4-5 weeks. It got to the point I called my doctor. He said it was likely the corpus luteum which forms on the side that you ovulate on. They had me in because I had some spotting as well for HCG tests, as it was too early for ultrasound. He also said that it was pretty early for it to be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy - which is what I was scared of. We're now at 37 weeks. :)
