Had my ultrasound today at 6 weeks 1 day. Saw a little flicker of a heartbeat. The most amazing thing I've ever seen.

You should leave it until 6 and a half weeks to have a better chance of a HB. The extra few days makes all the difference at that early stage. I had one at 5w1d and only a gestational sac. Then back at 6w4d and a very strong HB of 132, they like to see it above 98-120 at the 6th week. But some don't get the HB until 7 weeks, every woman and every pregnancy is different. If you are going to have an U/S at exactly 6weeks don't be surprized and freak out if you only see a gestational sac and a yolk sac. Best of luck.

I went in August 1st to find out how far along I was..had to have an ultrasound done and I found out I was 6 weeks along and I could definitely see the heart beat

They hopefully should be able to see it dont get discouraged if you dont you may be off in your dates.I believe my doc says that the heart begins to beat around 5 weeks
