I'm not sure on the other things in afraid but here in the UK being told to take Vit D when pregnant is just as normal as taking the folic acid no matter the state of your health.

They may have started a new practice to get you to see an epidural specialist as if need to have an emergency C section during labour from unforseen circumstances they will have all the relevant info to proceed rather then trying to get a panicked and in pain mother make choices and fill out forms. I'm not sure on this though so you could ashtrays just drop them a call and set your mind at rest.
Happy 12 weeks x

Hi, I had an anesthia consult as well once at 20 weeks and I will be having another at 32 weeks. It was done for me because I have fairly difficult small veins and they wanted me to speak with the anesthiologist regarding different pain relief and how anesthia that is administered since this is my first baby. As far as the baby aspirin I am on that too, I dont have a diagnosed clotting disorder I have had recurrent pregnancy loss and its thought that the baby aspirin helps to support blood flow to the uterus and if you do have a clotting problem it helps to thin your blood. I am not a hundred percent sure about the vitamin D but I imagine the doctor thought you were deficient in the vitamin. If you have any questions regarding the protocal's medicines they put you on I would definitley ask questions to make you feel more comfortable. Best of luck!
