Q: Gift From Baby

I'm not sure it's done elsewhere but my family have always had the baby bring a gift for siblings when they are born.
For instance I got a teddy twice my size when my little sister was born although at the time I was very confused at how it fit inside my mummies tummy. I named him Alex as I was rather hoping on a baby brother lol.
I want to keep up the family tradition but as the due date is around Christmas and my sons birthday a gift of a toy is just going to be meaningless but what else can a two yr old get from a new little sister that would mean something?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you x

I am doing a "big brother kit" . We going to get a little backpack and put a shirt thats says big brother and a matching onsie that says baby sister,a book, and some of his favorite little snacks.

If you have a child that likes miniatures (think dollhouse or even model cars, trains and planes), or crafts of any sort, getting something they can assemble with one or both of their parents might be a good gift that they can enjoy.

Maybe something like an "I'm the big brother" book or shirt. It isn't a toy and I think there are books you can actually personalize. We are thinking about doing this with our son too. Baby is due a few weeks after Easter so we have a little time to think about it still :)

We also do this, I am due 1st March and 2 months later is my daughter's 3rd birthday so no toys. But we know she loves bracelets so going to get her a Pandora bracelet and get some little meanful charms off their brother / sister we are not finding out what the gender is.

Not sure what the gender the siblings are but if a girl ^ maybe a good idea :) Have none for a boy. Good luck.

I will be following this as I'm in the same boat with my sons birthday and Christmas right before my due date as well!
