At 5 weeks you'll see a gestational sac, 5 and a half weeks a yolk sac and 6 weeks or a few days after a foetal pole and heartbeat. However some woman are different and may experience things slightly earlier or later. As often once woman have a u/s they often find they are slightly out with their ovulation dates even if only by a day or two or three but at the very early stages that can make all the difference as to what you may or may not see on the scan. Best of luck, hope this helps.

it is very early to go for an ultrasound so you may still not be able to see anything, sometimes takes until the 6th week to see the heartbeat. Check out the ultrasound gallery on this site and you can get an idea of what other people were able to see at this stage: http://www.countdownmypregnancy.com/photos-ultrasounds/gallery_week.php?w=4
Good luck!
