Q: what happened first for you? water broke, contractions or mucus plug

I've taken the birthing class and I found out that it is different for everyone. What has occurred with you previous pregnancies? I am 35 weeks yesterday and people say it looks like I've already dropped and that I will go early. Having no symptoms as of now but just trying to be prepared.

I was induced with my last child(not nearly as bad as everyone said it would be, and natural all the way...), but with my other two my water broke before my contractions started. I can't even remember when I lost my mucus plug with any of them. They say only 10% of women have their water break before labor starts so I guess I'm not part of the norm, but it's what's normal for me! And both times it was just a trickle too, it wasn't a big gush, so both times I wondered if possibly I had just wet myself a lil bit, lol...

With my son my contractions started first, then I lost the mucus plug a couple days later and then they broke my water a few days after that. I was in active labor for a week with my son.

My son dropped at 37 weeks, I had contractions first, starting at 40 weeks 6 days. My membranes were stripped at 41 weeks 1 day. I was admitted at 41 weeks 2 days and they had told me my water had already broken, which I must have had a slow leak because I never noticed. In between that time I had started losing my mucus plug. He was born on 41 weeks 3 days. I had absolutely no dilating or "signs" until my contractions started.

With my first, he dropped early (before my 2nd did) and stayed there. I ended up being induced at 40w2d and delivered at 40w4d. My second, she dropped at 34wks and stayed there. My OB did a membrane sweep at 40w2d and I lost my plug over the next 2 days. I had minor contractions but nothing ever came of it. I was then induced at 41w1d and she was taken by emergency c-section 5hrs later. My babies dropped early and still refused to come out...its very different for everyone.

With my first pregnancy I lost my mucus plug 1st. With my second I went into labor 1st. Each pregnancy is different. With me though, once I feel the baby drop then I know the baby is coming within a week. Has always been that way with me. Just make sure your hospital bags are packed so you will be ready when the time comes.

I "dropped" about 35 weeks with my son and 36 with my daughter. I was induced with my first due to bad pre-e at 39w4d, with no real contractions or progress after 20 hours so I had a c section, and again with my second.

I dropped early at 34wks but my son still came on his due date as they can engage and disengage a lot this early in. People love to guess when the big day will be and it's fun but no one really knows.
I had contractions first, then my plug after an internal examination and finally waters.
I really does differ so much from woman to woman.
Nearly there hun and I hope everything goes smoothly for you x
