Q: Sharp pelvic pain... Is this normal 3rd trimester pain and discomfort?

I am 31w4d. I have a sharp pain particularly when I walk around or apply pressure to my pubic bone area. No cramps or discomfort anywhere else but this feels like a foot stone bruise but on my pubic bone region. When I am laying down the pain subsides.

This really started two evenings ago. I am still very active with jogging and do the elliptical regularly. I haven't bd with hubby lately either so it's nothing related to that.. .

I have this as well. I think mine is caused primarily because my son is head down right on my cervix. Its uncomfortable when I walk and when I lie down. Hope you feel better!

I was talking to another lady about this the other day actually. It could be pelvic girdle pain also known as SPD.
It can be brought on by certain activities or even just the baby getting larger as your pelvis gets ready for birth.
You Dr can let you know for sure what you should avoid and what you can do to improve your comfort which normally involves some simple stretches or if it gets really bad some gentle physiotherapy.
I hope this helps and that you can get comfortable again soon. x
