Q: Getting pregnant after ectopic

So I had my left tube removed and a d&c done 9-25-14 due to a ectopic pregnancy. The bleeding finally stopped after 2 weeks. Me and my boyfriend have started to have sex again. Him knowing that we aren't supposed to start trying til at least January, he doesn't pull out and won't wear a condom. I was wondering how soon has anyone gotten pregnant after all these procedures??

I'm sorry to hear what you had to go through
Apparently the reason they tell you to wait is that you can be at risk of having another ectopic is extremely high due to lingering inflammation of your remaining tube. It would be horrible to have to go through another and lose that tube too.
I know this isn't what you asked and you might already be aware of the risks but I wanted to say something just incase.
They also say you might skip ovulation on the first cycle altogether so the second is more likely.

Not sure if you can see this site as it's a UK one but just in case
www.ectopic.org.uk
It seems to have a great section on trying again

Best of luck for trying again and I hope it all goes smoothly x

I would wait a few cycles to allow your body to heal. An ectopic is traumatic to your body. Best of luck tink!

I had a miscarriage and I am now pregnant after 3 cycles. Have you had a cycle since your procedures?
