Q: Positive OPK 2 days before AF is due, could I be pregnant?

Just taken an OPK, (9.00pm), it was positive as the test line was slightly darker than the control line. Could I possibly be pregnant, I have noticed I have been rather tired lately and also have sore nipples.

Yes dear you could still be pregnant just never lose hope. As you are saying signs are so clear that you've mentioned and then that pain etc. It's not necessary to always got positive impact on the tube first time. Some cases are mentioned in which women even got their pregnancy tests positive after 3 months of pregnancy, In most of the cases you know about that but somehow sometimes people miss and they don't pay attention and then suddenly they got good news and became all happy. So yes just try to consult to some specialist again and try to figure out what it is and if you are pregnant which i hope you are than congratulations in advance.

My opks (had a bunch left) didn't turn + again until after a few weeks after I got my bfp. They say opks can detect hcg but the levels have to be pretty high for them to do so. The only thing that can really tell you if you're pregnant is an hpt. Early pregnancy symptoms are nearly identical to post-ovulation/pre-menstrual symptoms too, so it's so hard to try to pinpoint pregnancy by symptoms(My biggest symptom was increased CM; I usually didn't have much after ovulation)! Also, your lh levels fluctuate all month long, and after being on the countdown to pregnancy website and this one for a while, I've seen a lot of women who have had + opk tests right around the time their period is due. If you don't conceive right away, I personally think it's a good idea to buy a bunch of the cheapie opk tests on ebay and test 2 or 3 times a day all month long; it helps you learn a lot about your body and your own personal levels since everyone is a little different. GL on your bfp soon!!!

It's actually really common for women to have a second LH (the hormone OPKs test for) surge right before their period. Only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test
