Q: pregnancy weight

Hi, I am 18 weeks pregnant today, I am so big thought, I am normally a size 10 but am currently wearing size 16 maternity clothes and they are now getting tight, my consultant has referred me for physio as she said my tummy muscles have gone lax. the problem is though my back, legs, knees and feet are really hurting from the weight, its not over eating, I have only increased in my belly and bust, im tiny everywhere else. My feet hurt as soon as I get out of bed in the morning. Im trying to stay as active as possible to prevent another csection and more weight gain but I am in agony before Lunchtime!

A friend I met as a mum to be club had a similar issue. She had physio for the whole of her pregnancy and although it got better it didn't go away till a few moths after birth, they said her frame was too small to cope with the rapid weight gain.
Have you thought to try a maternity belt? There are different designs but all are made to help you support the growing bump and take some of the strain off of the muscles in your back. For the other areas it may be worth finding out more about physio option you've been referred too as they can help strengthen the muscles in your legs and other areas too along with posture tips so that carrying the bump 'eventually' won't feel like such a mission, a bit like training for a marathon.
