Q: HCG levels at 5 weeks, 2 days.

What is the normal range for blood hcg levels around 5 weeks? I am waiting for m results from a draw I had today due to spotting and just wondering what is normal.

You will be fine MChick, esp since you do not have any cramping, spotting is normal.
Now that you have heard from the doc, just relax and try not to worry as worrying is not good for the baby.

Just heard from my doctor! My levels are normal for how far along I am, and I will be getting an ultrsound on the 11th. No repeat bloodwork needed she said. =) Stick baby, stick!

My friend, try not to worry. Have you heard back from the doctor yet? Keep me posted, okay?!

Like stickybean1076 said the range is so big that you shouldn't compare yourself to it. The best indicator unfortunately is the result of the second blood draw - that's the only way to see if the numbers are increasing as expected or not.The wait sucks! :(

Good luck!

If you google HCG charts there's loads of them. The range is massive and you should never compare your numbers to others people as there is such a wide spectrum. The important thing is that your own numbers in early pregnancy double or more every 48hrs. GL
