Q: TMI Question am I losing my mucus plug?

I want to apologize in advance for this.... On tuesday morning I went to the bathroom and there was chunks of clear discharge in the toilet then today I again had chunks of clear discharge and when I wiped it looked as if someone had blown their nose in the toilet paper. On top of that this week I have had increased discharge every day. None of the discharge I've experienced has been tinged with blood though. This is my first baby, so can anyone shed any light on this?

Little bits fall out all the time. I've had an increase in these 'shows' this week and if I remember rightly is completely normal as the plug is always regenerating. You can also lose the whole thing and still go for weeks before labour kicks in as baby is still safely in the bag of waters.
When I lost my actual plug, after an internal exam during early labour, with my son it was the size of a small hens egg and I had a very small gush of fluid which is apparently fluid that gathers behind the plug but was not my actual waters. That popped and gushed about 24hrs later.
