Q: For those who tracked ur cycles after delivery, how long was ur LP?

Ok, so I just finished (I think) my first PP cycle. I tracked O (cm, cp, opk and pains) but didnt temp. I took a temp today and it was 98.90F, thats a confirmation of O for me (along with the change in cm, cp and other normal post-O crap)...thing is, I had minor spotting lastnight, then this afternoon after my shower, flow. Thats a friggin' 9 day luteal phase, if this is actually AF making an appearance. Before pregnancy it was 15-16 days unmedicated. So my question is, for anyone who tracked postpartum cycles, did u notice a short LP that lengthened with each cycle? Or any weird bleeds in the middle of ur LP? I can only assume my hormones are still a mess, but I'm TTC now and dont want to go on BC...a 9 day LP is not going to get me pregnant.

Thank u, Quartz3, for answering the questions I actually asked! Very helpful!! The flow stopped not long after posting this and there has been random spotting ever since...temps are still up around 98.90 and still lots of normal post-O s/s.

Papas~Mama; Ive been charting temps long enough to know what is post-O and what isnt...so I DO hold a lot of stock in that one temp and dont need a comparison.

Ifthat's the only temp you took this cycle and you have nothing else to compare it to ,I wouldn't put too much stock in it.I

After my first delivery I had wonky cyclesâ?¦ spotting at odd times before ovulation (never in my LP though) and a varying LP - it used to be 12 days, but then I got 12 days, 11 days, 10 daysâ?¦. I got pregnant on my 4 cycle post partum. After my second delivery my cycles were more regular (and no mid-cycle spotting), but my LP was consistently 10 daysâ?¦ but I got pregnant again on my third cycle post partum, so I can't tell you whether it eventually got longer. I wouldn't worry too much about it though - to begin with. I had no problem getting pregnant twice with a 10-day LP, so it's clearly not impossible.
