I had my growth ultrasound todau baby is measiring perfectly and weighs 6lbs 4 ounces not the big one they thought! At my ultrasound they did observe I have alot of amniotic fluid. Of course they gave me possible reasons why which is freaking me out they dont think it has anything to do with him developmently because all ultrasounds came back perfect. I didnt get nts done at 12 weeks, but based on other ultrasound they dont think.he has downs. Anyone experience this before?

I had the same thing with my first pregnancy and everything was completely fine. I worried too, but like estone said, it was most likely caused by diet.

I had elevated levels with my son. It was most likely due to consuming too much glucose and sugar, which was harder for my body to digest and it increased the amniotic fluid. Did they give you a measurement of how much fluid there was? I believe if the AFI is more than 25 cm then you should be concerned.
