I swam in both the pool and the ocean on a daily basis for a week when I went on my babymoon at 4 months pregnant with DD. I also swam laps in a pool twice a week for exercise throughout that entire pregnancy. DD turned out perfectly healthy and my pregnancy was fine :)

When I was 6 months pregnant with my first child I went to Mexico. I swam in the ocean a lot. The one thing I remember very well was that when I was snorkeling, baby was curled up in a tight little ball; I think he got a little cold! Just be careful of the currents and the tide and such. Have fun!

Stickybean I couldn't have said it better lmao!
No cannon balls either. Or drop slides. Basically nothing that could cause water to gush up there, I think its referred to as a Vaginal Douching effect... Don't really know what that is but my baby book says it can lead to infections.
Other then that have a great time x x x

lol at StickyBean! Love that response :) The only thing I wanted to add was be wary of hot tubs. Some women avoid them all together, others are fine with a couple minutes. My doctor told me that unless I REGULARLY take VERY hot baths, and am used to it, to use this guide: when I'm hot, baby is getting hot, so if I really want to do it, don't stay in long. Have fun! :)

My specialist said it is perfectly fine. He said it's not like your swimming with your Virginia open and having water blowing up into your cervix lol I asked the same thing. He just said don't sit on spa vents lol.
Enjoy your vacation.
