Thanks all. I'm quickly learning that it's probably both baby and meds. I am taking the med every 8 hrs. A bit annoying, but anything is better than a tooth ache. Thank you for the advice & congratulations to all you beautiful ladies

Many different types of antibiotics cause nausea; it will usually say right on the label to take it with food. Some will still nauseate you even if you eat with them. Then again, the pregnancy can do the same thing to you, so you're probably dealing with a double whammy. Does your prescribing doctor know you're pregnant? I had to take an antibiotic at 13w and everything is fine. Cramping also occurs at the beginning of pregnancy because of your uterus preparing for it's new inhabitant! You got a lot going on right now, and I'm sure everything will be fine. Congratulations!

I took antibiotics the first time I was pregnant. I didn't feel that sick, but it did leave me with a bad taste in my mouth. My bet would be that the nausea and cramps are caused by the pregnancy and not the medication though.

I took antibiotics for a full month ending right after conception. Are you taking them with food? I had to take them in the am and was getting so nauseous. Normally I am not a big breakfast eater, usually just some yogurt or other light item. It took me awhile to figure out that I really had to take the antibiotics immediately after a heavier breakfast with some kind of carb like a bagel, breakfast sandwich, eggs and toast, a muffin, etc. Once I started doing that I felt great!
