Q: Anyone else terrified to eat?

I've had severe morning sickness. According to every first tri appointment I have lost weight. I was put on diclectin, which limited the sickness but was not 100 percent perfect. I can't keep water down at all, oatmeal, cereal, eggs, pancakes, sandwiches, etc. ANYTHING I eat usually gets thrown up. I've burst so many blood vessels in my eyes and I've had an occular hematoma because of the excessive vomiting. I'm honestly at the point where I'm scared to eat anything in fear of vomiting it back up. I've even tried nutrition meal replacement drinks and those get barfed up too. Some days I'm fine and I'll eat and eat and eat lots but then I'll go days between with maybe one meal actually staying in my belly. I've dropped over 7 lbs since the pregnancy has begun. I'm going to try changing my prenatal in case that's the problem, but I'm really not sure how to handle the fear of eating D: is this normal for anyone else?

I have been kinda the same way. Some days i'm great, no sickness...but other days it's HELL! I bet it's your prenatal. I was told if my sickness gets too bad, to do gummy flinstone vitamins. My sis in law took those with her twins that she delivered in August. I will keep you in my prayers :-)

I don't find out the sex until Dec 22 if baby co-operates. But crackers don't work for me--those come back up too. I'm trying to locate a low-iron or iron free prenatal and see if they help. Time being, I'm off them until I get new ones. This is just brutal D: it started at 6 weeks and it hasn't let up one bit.

I wasn't afraid to eat but I was in tears because I wanted to eat as i felt empty but couldn't because it made me sick and I lost over a stone in the first trimester.
I had to drop the prenatals and get a folic acid spray as they were to blame for the majority of my sickness, all I could do was find something, I had plain crackers, and nibble (and I mean nibble ) the tiniest amount all day until I could sip the lemonade/water combo after each cracker. It was a long and slow process but take relief in that you can eat some days which is a good thing.
Keep asking about other medications if you wish, i tried 4 until I found the one that worked (still nausea but only occasionally) I started on 3 a day of promethazine and eventually to one per morning but I couldn't come off it until 22weeks.
With my son it cleared up at 12 but I think the girls cause worse morning sickness is true, are you having a girl? Lol
Really hope you feel better soon though x x x
