Q: Streak of blood in snot-like discharge?

I am 8w 3d and last night after a BM, I wiped and had a lot of snot like discharge that was thick in consistency. I had no more until just earlier when I went to pee and wiped and had just a little more but this time had a streak of brown blood inside of it. Should I be worried or is this normal? Everything I had read says this is what the mucus plug looks like but happens closer to labor. Thanks in advance!

Definitely something to call the office about. Sometimes your normal mucus will just get very thick during pregnancy, I know mine did. And there was a lot of it. The blood streak is definitely concerning though. It could very well be nothing but might be a good idea to just get checked out anyway just to have the peace of mind about it. Hoping for the best for you and baby!

It sounds like a mucus plug, you're right. I'd mention it to your doctor or midwife straight away. I don't understand that happening that early either. Hope everything is okay!
