Q: How long should it take to get a solid positive after getting a faint positive?

I had a early mc on 9/26 I started to spot on 11/27 lasted for two days so I decided to take a test. Very faint positive. Took a cb digi and got pregnant 1-2 wks with a 5 hour hold. Been using fmu everyday since with internet cheapies and line does not seem to be getting any darker but is definately still there. Took the other cb digi from the pack and got not pregnant with no hold and afternoon urine. Does this mean I had a chemical pregnancy or am I actually pregnant? I only spotted for two days no clots but some cramping and have had bad backaches for 2 days. Anyone had this happen if so what was the outcome. Im so paranoid. ohh and I was unable to pin point ovulation b/c my bbt were all over the place this last cycle. Please help...

CB digis measure a lot higher concentration of hormone so not using first morning urine may have been your downfall here.
It can take almost 3 days for some ladies hormones to double too.
I'd suggest staying away from digis because they can cause unnecessary stress and spend the money on a brand like FRER or another that measures a lower concentration of hormone.
I do believe countdownTOpregnancy.com have a list of brands and the levels they measure to help you choose.

Hi
I experienced earlier in the year I got faint lines on FRER and took the CB digital 1-2 weeks took another one the next day and it said not preg, a few days later my AF arrived.

This is not to say that you will experience the same outcome, everyone is different specially if you are very early and testing at different times of the day. I'd say if you test again with first morning urine and it still says not preg, then it would be a chemical and with the bleeding and slight cramping you described. I would test at the same time of day to compare and I have always found it's never made a difference if I hold my urine or not, but that's my body as I said everyone is different. Best of luck I hope you have a positive outcome ;-)
