Q: Easier pregnant at a young age vs. older age.?

I had my first daughter at 20 years old -(gestational diabetes) and I was 22 when I had my son -(no complications). I was never tired during pregnancy and felt great aside from a lot of morning sickness with my daughter. When i turned 26 I decided I would have one more, I got pregnant very easy but had a mc a few weeks later and had a DandC. Then a couple months later I fell pregnant again and it ended in a CP. I am now 27 and currently 26 weeks pregnant. I've had morning sickness, extreme fatigue, bleeding, severe sciatic nerve pain, back pain, no energy, I sleep A LOT, Lots of pressure, head aches, and I'm freaking huge for 26 weeks even tho i'm only 140 pounds. I feel like being pregnant at an earlier age was so much better than being pregnant at almost 30.I made my mind up at a young age that I wouldn't have kids after I was 30,and i'm glad I did because It proved to be hard for my body to stay pregnant and I have all these complications that I never had before.

Aw! wow thanks for the feed back everyone! Every pregnancy definitely is different, Guess its luck of the draw as to rather it will be a easy pregnancy or a hard one... but the end result is all the same... a beautiful baby that is very much worth it in the end! <3

I had my two boys at 18 and 22. Both pregnancies a walk in the park besides weight gain. I was never tired and cont to work. Now I am 32 and it's been awful. Every symptom I feel like I've had at some point. I spent weeks on the couch which is not like me, I never miss the gym lol. Nausea kicked my butt. Tired but can't sleep. Back pain, headaches, nose bleeds I mean you name It. Older pregnancies for me personally is worse.

I am almost identical statistically to papas ~ mama, age and babies. This is my 4th and I just turned 35.
1st pregnancy I was 21, had ms and a boy, normal weight gain.
2nd I was 26, had extreme ms, a girl and gained 6 lbs, some migraines, lots of stress, and had pp depression.
3rd baby I was 32, no ms only nausea, a girl, gained 50 lbs, migraines more than weekly, lots of pain, spotting, and she was 3 weeks early.
This time I was 34 at the start, it's a boy, I've had normal weight gain, no migraines, no pain, no ms....probably my easiest pg yet. I am obviously a believer in the "every pregnancy is different" saying. Nothing has been the same for me and I was afraid to even try after my last pregnancy, especially being medically considered "advanced maternal age." Pffft. Good luck!

I can't speak for anyone older but I'm 20. I had my first son at 18 years old. my son was born at 36 weeks and almost 8 lbs, healthy little guy(: He is 20 months old now and I am now 19 weeks pregnant with my second baby BOY. let me tell you my first pregnancy my back hurt from 16 weeks it was so bad it felt like a knife stabbing above my tailbone, my ankles were always sore, my feet always hurt, my body was just generally sore. This pregnancy is going by with much less pain. My is tight but not sore (I have a full time job and take care of my toddler all the time so this is shocking to me) my ankles hurt slightly but not that bad compared to my first pregnancy. So age could affect it but I can also say every pregnancy is different regardless of age.

This is my 4th child...my age at the beginning for each pregnancy was 21, 26, 31 and 34. I've never had a hard time physically carrying my children(I'm one of those women people hate for how easy I have it), but I have had extremely hard times mentally in my pregnancies. For me this pregnancy is the easiest because I'm in a better place in my mind now. So strangely enough for me, I am older but this has been my easiest pregnancy. And...you're still not really that old, so stop it;)

My first I was 27 when I had him. Perfect Pregnancy! No complications and only gained 26lbs. I am 32 now and had nausea, headaches, weight gained (more), constant sinus issues... more pain and discomfort. Older is definitely harder.

I had my first at 18, my second at 20, and this one at 38. My first two were a breeze...no symptoms, felt great. Gained a lot of weight with both of the first two (65 pounds with first, 35 with second), but with this one, I ended up only 8 pounds above my starting weight. But this pregnancy definitely was rough...I felt sick all the time, tired, bloated, back pain, hip pain...and he was also the hardest to conceive ( took almost 2 years, 4 mc/chemicals, and fertility treatments). I did work up until the week before he was born, which probably made things a little harder, but I wanted to take as much time with him as possible before returning to work.

I was actually in the gallery comparing my size bump to others at 22w and I saw yours and thought you were a little thing with a very impressive sized bump. Lol
I'm bigger than you in my actual size and I'm quite tall.
I think you look great, cute.

I had my first at 30 and now I'm 22w at 38. The actual preg is pretty great no issues about the same as my first except I'm way bigger in the bump department this time specially for 22w I'm pretty darn big too. But same weight as when I was preg at 30.
:-)

im 22 and pregnant with my 2nd, and this one is kicking my ass. i did okay with my first, just had lots of morning sickness. this one, holy cow, i can barely stay awake through the day, i feel like shit all the time, my throat hurts from throwing up so hard.. you know how ppl on fb take stupid pictures of what they had for dinner? every picture i see makes me want to throw up. im only 9wks2days in, so im hoping this will ease up once i hit 12wks. but every pregnancy and every woman is different. just remember, you're already looking after two kids while trying to grow another one. that sounds exhausting to me. i have one toddler and a manchild and im growing another human, and thats exhausting for me lol.
