Q: When to expect a period??

I've already read up on it a bit and found that 2-3 months pp is fairly normal to get your first period. I primarily formula feed and supplement with breastfeeding so I'm not sure if the couple times a day of breastfeeding will interfere with that or not.
When did you get your pp period and were you breastfeeding at all or no?

Hello,
Coming of periodd after delivrring a baby depends on a lot of several factors. These factors depends on evert women and her endurance of the body. It is generally said tgat it takes up to a complete year for a women to get back on her normal menses routine. It sounds absurd, but it is completely true, and every women experiences the same. If I remember correctly if you get bleeding before 2 months post birth it's not considered to be a period but after that it is, despite 100% breastfeeding with no supplementing I got my period back at 3 months, and I have friends who didn't get theirs back until months after baby weaned.
It is best to assume you are fertile and protect yourself accordingly if you don't want an unexpected pregnancy :) I was breastfeeding and on birthcontrol and got pregnant, apparently this baby is determined to be born. Every women will have different patterns of periods until before 1 year, later it gets better eventually.

That said, if you are only breastfeeding a little it is much more likely that you will get it back sooner rather than later, so if you are supplementing you will likely your period back but it might still be irregular, after baby your cycle might be completely different than before. Ever woman is different so...it's all guesses. It is best to assume you are fertile and protect yourself accordingly if you don't want an unexpected pregnancy :) I was breastfeeding and on birthcontrol and got pregnant, apparently this baby is determined to be born lol :) Best wishes!

I'm a little nervous that I'll start my period when I'm supposed to have my 6w pp checkup lol. I really think I'm ovulating today =/ They have to do a pelvic exam right? Would being on your period interfere with that or no?

I got my first period when baby was 7 months, and the next one after that when he was 10 months!
I was breastfeeding exclusively though.
