Q: When did you start to show with your first?

I am slighly heavy set and 10 weeks along with my first. I feel like my belly is just out there for everyone to see and feel its a little early to be showing. I actually lost 6lbs. due to morning sickness but my belly is somewhat bloated. Is this normal? When did others start showing with their first?

with my first i weighed about 100 pounds and didnt start showing till i was about 6 months, even with my second i didnt start showing til about 6 months... now is my 3rd pregnancy and i weighed 132 when i found out i was pregnant again and i started to show right away. i feel like the bigger you are, the sooner you will show. thats been the case for me. but i guess the old saying goes, every pregnancy is different... even prego bellies.

It was 5 months before i started to show with my first child and after the drs sppointment when i found out i was pregnant at that point , I saw him a wk or 2 later and he was in shock cause i had a massive bump compared to my flat tummy.
I only weighed 8st 7lbs them as well. It was very weird.
My bump kept getting bigger while i was at work and i had to undo trouser buttons. I ended the day with my bump hanging out of my clothes that day.

I'm heavier and to myself I could see I was starting to show at 14 weeks, but to others became more noticeably pregnant at 16 weeks.

I'm on the heavier side too and just popped in the past week or so at around 20 weeks. This is the first pregnancy that has gotten this far. I felt a belly before then but it wasn't until 20 weeks that it was pretty noticeable to everyone else (i.e. I didn't just look pudgier than usual).

I lost 8 lbs due to morning sickness and am only back at my starting pre-pregnancy weight as of yesterday (21 weeks).

It's different for different people but until you are a good 12weeks along your uterus is still down inside the pelvis so you usually don't show until somewhere after 16 weeks or so when the uterus is about halfway up to your belly button. Bloating happens on and off during pregnancy and is most noticeable for most at the beginning, your uterus is starting to move things around crowding your bladder and your intestines and hormones are slowing digestion causing more gas and bloating in an effort to maximize absorption of nutrients. Women with awesome stomach muscles usually show less and later, while those with less strength or previous pregnancies tend to show more sooner. I am overweight and with my first didn't seriously show until around 18-20weeks but with my second "popped" sooner, then looked the same as the first time thru to the end when I looked a little larger. Congrats to you!!

It all depends on your size, slimmer may show earlier and how fit you keep your tummy muscles really as if they are tight you show later. I was 13wks and I got a little tummy but not something people would notice.
You may just be bloated which is very very common in the first and sometimes second trimester but still can't rule out that its your uterus because we are all different.
