Oh yes! My breathlessness started around the same time and is still going strong. I'm a waitress and there are times when I have to stop in the middle of taking an order to take a deep breath or two, very embarrassing! One time when I was grocery shopping I had to stop and lean against the shelves and use my inhaler because it was so bad. I also had a hot flash in front of a table at work and almost passed out! Luckily people can see I'm 8 months pregnant and understand, lol. Anyhow, sometimes I get winded and feel exhausted just SITTING ON THE COUCH. But yes, it's very normal so don't stress. I have however heard that an iron deficiency can cause breathlessness too so you might wanna get that checked out.

Hi Emz, yeah I am having the same thing. I do suffer from asthma and allergies and I have felt short of breath recently! I am 26 weeks.
I saw my obgyn earlier last week and told her and she said it is completely normal. Quite a common pregnancy symptom. As she explained it is just your uterus expanding and moving further up which is taking up room that used to be for your stomach, intestines etc. So now those bodily organs are being "squished" as such, your lungs will be compromised somewhat too. She said its very normal though and not to panic. Just try and take some nice calm long relaxed deep (as you can) breathes.

I'm not sure because I have never been that far along but maybe it is the baby pushing on/squishing things up in to your chest? Maybe give your midwife or doctor a call. they will be able to help you :)
