Q: Why not the mini pill??

My midwife is hesitant for me to take the mini pill because she said it's less effective when you are not exclusively breastfeeding.... which I don't understand, because from what I've read it works as a sperm blocker, not an ovulation suppressant... soooo what gives? I get horribly sick on regular birth control pills and I still ovulate when on the low dose pills, so I'm not really sure what to do. I absolutely refuse to have an IUD.

Waiting for the nurse to call me back again she had to speak with the midwife again after our first conversation to try to come up with a game plan lol. Anyone have any idea where she's coming from though because I'm confused!
