I would like to say if your child has blue eyes then you can name them IRIN or SKY it will surely describe the beauty of your child's eyes. What names are you feeling for middle names? Is it possible there is a name that would work well and just be an inspiration from your grandmother's name? Cora, Cara, Lynn (Or Lyn to match spelling?). Does your grandma have a middle name that might work better? If you can't find a name you love that is inspired by her name then you should pick what YOU love. I am sure you could find a way to make your grandmother still feel very special even if her name isn't used as part of your daughter's

My advice is to not tell anybody from here on out (and I mean anybody, besides your partner of course) any ideas that you have for baby names. Everyone is going to have an opinion but when it comes down to it, that's a completely personal decision and no one else has the right to weigh in on it. You shouldn't feel like you have to name your child after someone because you feel guilty about something you said in the heat of the moment. You don't name your child the name they're gonna have the rest of their life because of a little guilt. You'd have to talk to your partner about it, but you could always tell her that it's their preference to name the baby something else. I love the old "my husband" excuse, it works every time, lol. I'm on my 4th child and I've learned to keep that info to myself because people get weird and pushy about it, I don't know why. You're prob more worried about it than your Grandma is, honestly. Don't let anyone tell you what you should name your baby
