Q: Concerts while pregnant?

I meant to ask my doctor this yesterday, but of course I have pregnancy brain and forgot. So is it ok to go to a concert while pregnant? I will be about 7 months along and it's in a large arena, so we would have seats. Just wondering if there are any risks to the baby. Thanks!

I agree. Just stay hydrated and even if your not tired take seated breaks every hour or so to stay rested and keep some pressure of your legs and back. The sound shouldn't hurt the baby. Try and use the bathroom even if you don't have to every once in a while, I went to a concert with a pregnant friend and she ended up just having to cut line and jump into a stall to keep from going on herself. Good Luck, Hope You enjoy Yourself!!

Just make sure you stay well hydrated =) I went to one when I was 20 weeks and ended up leaving before the show was over due to BH contractions. I thought I was losing the baby my contractions hurt so bad. Once I rested for a while and drank a bottle of water I was fine but it was scary.

Hi! I'm actually an Audiologist so I know about this. The baby can clearly hear in the womb, however the amniotic fluid supplies some suppression to the sound. So going to a few concerts while pregnant is no cause for concern. If it was a regular habit or if you worked with a lot of high level noise I would be more concerned. I went to a concert when I was 20 weeks with my 1st and all is fine - only think I noted was that she kicked a moved around a lot during the concert. Have fun!

I don't see how it could cause any problem for the baby.
