Q: Two questions about pre-labor...

I have noticed for the past week that my Braxton-Hicks contractions have actually DEcreased. I will be 39 weeks tomorrow. Baby is very active and head is very, very engaged. Has this happened to anyone else shortly before they gave birth?

Also, does anyone know if you have to lose your mucus plug before your water can break? Will it leak through regardless? I can't find any info on this question at all!

What your going through is normal. My friend didn't pass her mucus plug at all and she was fine, she started having contractions and they went in and got that all cleaned out and broke her water for her because she was 38 weeks and having vaginal changes so it was time for her to deliver. Please stay calm and try to relax and enjoy this last little home stretch of being pregnant. If your stressed out over it that you can't let it go, I'd just give your doctor a call and run it by him/her to be safe. I hope You have a Wonderful, Smooth delivery and I wish you a Healthy baby and a Fast Recovery!!
