As has already been said if you have been a cat owner for a while and didnt just get the cat yesterday then you are fine. You will of built up a immunity to toxoplasmosis

You are not supposed to do it but like in my case I don't have no one else to do it so I do it myself. I just wear 2 gloves on each hand and a face mask and after I'm done I wash my hands with hand sanitizer and soap.

Chances are if you're a long time cat owner then you've already contracted toxoplasmosis (a disease carried by cats that is dangerous to your fetus) and are now immuned to it. If there is someone else at home who can change the litter, then by all means skip the chore to be sure your baby is safe, but if it's just you at home wearing rubber gloves should keep you from contracting the disease. Wash your hands after changing the litter and after petting your cats. I think you can ask your Dr to test for immunity to the disease if you're very worried!
