I'm active duty military so Im trying to stay working until it's show time bc if not it'll take days off of my maternity leave, which would be ok bc I have leave that could replace it but I'm trying to save those for holidays and etc. I think that's the only reason I'm staying on my toes and ahead of the ball game and bc my husband isn't home

You are so ahead of the curve. I think there is no such thing as too early if it makes you feel better go for it! I'm 36 weeks and just made my hospital bag lists this weekend. I haven't actually packed them yet. But this is my last week of work, so I'll get them packed next week when I get to spend some time alone at home. I've worked so much this pregnancy and my pre-schooler at home doesn't allow much down time. So things like preparing for baby have taken a back seat. It's not my preference, but you can't do everything. At least baby is still allowing me the time to organize and pack later.

Thank you! I think that's what I'll do instead. Instead packing I'll just organize that way when it's time to grab I know where it's all at.

I don't see the harm in being prepared - especially if it's going to mean less stress for you!
I haven't personally packed mine yet (I'm 30 weeks) but plan on starting to gather stuff together soon. I won't put some items in it until closer to my due date - things like clothes (which I don't want to smell like they've been sitting in a bag for months) and food, etc.
