Q: Sex drive during second trimester?

How is everyone's sex drive? Mine is basically non-existent! I feel horrible, I thought it was supposed to be on full force 2nd tri? I'm just shy of 20 weeks and I'm basically repulsed by the thought of it! I wonder if there is any correlation to the sex of the baby??? How is everyone else feeling? We are basically newlyweds do this is a huge bummer!

You aren't alone hun. I absolutely feel like bursting into tears at the thought of sex. One funny look and I'm running off to do one thing or another till he forgets about it. I am not happy about it either but I just can't help it! And when we finally do have it, it is like the driest sex ever, absolutely no enjoyment like we had it before and it leaves us both unhappy but we know it will improve after the baby comes. DH is used to it now.
Oh, and I'm having a boy, dunno if it is a gender thing

Hi I didn't have sex in the first trimester (doctors orders)
2nd trimester we were active again but this last trimester where very active around 3x a week. I'm 32 weeks. Where've been married 10yrs but my hubby has always been a big lover of sex. He would never say no.
So I would say 3rd trimester is best for us and I'm keen for it too.
You have to remember everyone is different. It's normal the way you feel, I would stress, hopefully your partner understand.

Not sure if it helps anyone out but I found out today that I am having a BOY. I must not have any extra testosterone coursing through my body helping my sex drive! hahah

This is my second pregnancy and just like my first I too am basically repulsed by the thought of sex. It's also been very uncomfortable to have sex through both pregnancies. It took awhile for it return too, my dr said that its normal for some. Your hormones are working in different ways, I nursed for 15 months and my dr said that my hormones were focusing on making milk more than sex.
My first pregnancy I had a boy and I'm currently 32 weeks 6 days with a girl. No sex drive either way. my hubby is definitely disappointed, but being extremely understanding.
