Q: Gendar

Hi, okay so I'm 4 weeks 5 days pregnant. I know it's extremely early to be wondering hmm what am I having. I have two beautiful little girls already and found out at 18 weeks with my first she was a girl. As for my second I did the ultrasound at 20 weeks and told she was a boy. I was convinced I was having a boy as I had a totally different pregnancy then my first. I later come to find out at my 37 week ultrasound surprise it's a GIRL. The night before I had finished the nursery very boyish to say the least with a giant wall sticker that read "Tractors, trucks and toys Nothing quite like little boys" above the crib. I honestly didn't know what to do. I had donated all my daughters clothing and purchased new boy clothing. I had nothing left for a little girl. So I guess my question is, what would you guys do? Would you just wait for a surprise, and just do gn theme or would you trust the ultrasound cause the chances are likely slim it would happen to me again.

It depends where your from its called the harmony test its gender and chromosome issues (downs etc) 99% in accurate. It is done between 10-13w. It must be done prior to 13w. In Australia here the cost is over $500 and no rebate. So it depends where your from.
The scan are usually pretty accurate if they're using high tech quality etc. both of mine were correct from very early on. I think you just got unlucky and a not very experienced sonography. If they don't get a great look they would normally say they're not 100% sure.
Good luck.

There is now a new gender blood test that most doctors do at 12 weeks which is 99.9% accurate. They check for the Y chromosome in the maternal blood so there is basically no room for errors there. If your doctor doesn't offer it, you can google labs that do it. My insurance covered it 100% also.
