My first son used to spend entire mornings sleeping, and I barely felt any movement at all. At first I went crazy over it (and my doctor insisted he would never sleep for more than 45 minutes at a time, and that was if I was lucky), but after a while I noticed it was his pattern: very very little movement in the morning, active in the afternoon. Sure enough, when that baby was born, he basically slept 3 months sleeping!
However, if you're worried at any time, it's always best to get checked out at the L&D. Most likely everything will be fine, but my doctor insisted I should never wait before getting checked out, because that's when you increase your odds of getting bad news.

My lil man does that too. Most days he is touring every corner he can find in my tummy and kicking away like he has construction work ongoing inside but then I have had two different days when i could hardly feel him. The worst was about a week ago when i did everything I could to get a response from him but nothing. I got so worried and upset but decided to keep calm and about 3 hours later, he was up and about again. DH says he bet the baby had exhausted himself from all his vigorous kicking the previous day and was sleeping, lol

You have to remember because of your GD your baby is measuring quite a bit over if my memory serves me correctly and when they in at the size of those final few weeks they're running out of room and the movement becomes different and not as frequent. I too am 34w on Sunday but she's measuring to the day as of last scan with the GD but I have a growth scan in Tuesday.
What I find is that if I drink ice cold water and lie on my side it gets her moving straight away. I'm lucky though I have a Doppler and a little wriggler. But the cold water really works. Try it. :-) where're nearly there, not long now :-)
