Q: Beta hCG tests at 4w2d...waiting for 2nd result

My last pregnancy ended in early miscarriage so my midwife set up an early beta test for peace of mind. I got my first result from 4w2d and it was 941. I am waiting for the result of today's test to determine if it is doubling.
Depending on how busy the lab is, I may not get the result until Monday. I know you can't determine much from one number and I know 941 appears to be in normal range but any personal stories or experiences to let me know what to expect would be appreciated.

Thank you very much. That site was helpful.

My 2nd draw came back and more than doubled. Whew. So glad I can put it out of my mind for the weekend.

As you said, it's hard to tell anything from one blood draw. The second one will give you a clearer picture of what is going on.

That being said - I found this website really helpful during the early weeks http://www.betabase.info/ . It's basically a range of HCG results (average, lowest, highest) by DPO for successful pregnancies.

Good luck with your second draw!
