Q: Blood!!!! Help!!!

Ok...
I'm 8.1wks.
All day today ive felt hyper sexual and was looking forward to a session with hubby after he got home.
All day ive been very er 'wet' but all normal.
We had some good sex and when I went for a wee after there was a tiny amount of blood on the tissue.. I re checked about 5 times and each time was a little less. I'm trying to keep my 'don't freak out' hat on and assume it's purely down to having sex... Help!
I had a feel and it feels very thick/full I assume that's extra blood flow.
I can't help but worry.
I'm scared I'll lose this one like the last one which I lost at 5.4wks.
It's not bright red heavy period blood like last mc.
God I hope not!!! :-( :-( :-(
Help!

Thankyou...
It all stopped pretty soon after... It just freaked me out... It wasn't rough sex but I know what not to do again lol.
We had it again two nights after and nothing so think we sorted it by leaving out a certain bit.
Thankyou x x x x

I had sex with my hubby not this past weekend but the weekend before that, and I had some spotting a few hours after we had sex. I know that spotting a little after sex is totally normal. I went to the doctor today and ran it by her and she said it's not a problem unless u start bleeding like a period. And she also said to make sure you are not having "rougher" sex. lol!! I thought that was funny. But anyway I just wanted to let u know it's normal. I understand your fears though i had a mc before and any time I see blood when I'm period I freak out and think the worse.

I agree this is nothing to worry about. The increased bloodflow causes you to bleed a tiny bit when the cervix is touched or bumped. This happened after sex for me during the first trimester, though I noticed only a tiny bit on DH. Also, I had a bit of bleeding during my Pap smear at 10weeks during my first pregnancy. Midwife said it was perfectly normal.

Hey hun, I know exactly what you are feeling. Starting around 5 weeks I started to spot/bleed after I went to the bathroom or had sex. There were times that it actually gushed red blood. It was very frustrating! I just wanted to know where the blood was coming from. Every time they checked, the baby was ok. Today I'm 10w2d and I finally got an answer. I apparently have a very sensitive or friable cervix. She said my cervix looked like a skinned knee. She said she wouldn't be surprised if I bleed every day of my pregnancy. It really helps me to know where it is coming from so I don't worry each time!

My bleeding is similar to yours. It normally happens immediately after the cervix is irritated and tapers off pretty quickly. From what you said, I'm sure it's just from your cervix due to sex. Even if your cervix isn't as sensitive as mine, it's still swollen with a lot more blood than normal during pregnancy.

From what I know, bleeding after sex is not uncommon. You will find that a lot of women here have experienced it at one point or another in their first trimester. Thank God it is not bright red and that it kept reducing. You just take it easy and keeep checking the spotting to make sure it keeps fading and not increasing but I am pretty sure it is nothing more than irritation to your privates due to the session with your DH. Hugs.
