Q: Fun ways to announce baby's gender

So we're finding out what we're having on the 2nd of April (15 weeks). We're taking a trip to go visit my grandpa the next day and I'm trying to think of a cute way to tell them what we're having. We won't be doing a big gender reveal party, so just something small and simple. Any ideas?

Buy a cute little pair of pink or blue socks and put in a little gift baggie for him. Not sure how far you are traveling. If a short distance i think the cupcake idea is really cute too!

For our families, I made cupcakes. I made pink icing (we're having a girl), put it in a piping bag (a ziplock bag with a corner cut out will work too), stabbed the middle of the cupcake and squeezed some of the icing into the middle. I then frosted the tops with white frosting so that you couldn't tell what colour was in the middle until you bit into the cupcake. Everyone loved them and it was a lot of fun! :)

You could also make a white cake and add food colouring to the batter - that wasn't an option for me as I made the cupcakes the day before we found out to save on time.

Give them cupcakes with pink or blue icing, I always wanted to do that! Or the same idea with crazy string, Exciting little way to tell everyone without telling them ;)
