Q: Has anyone done the 3 hour glucose test and not had gestational diabetes?

So I did the regular one hour glucose test, and the doctor told me that I had a score of 133, and anything over 130 needed further investigation. Now I have to drink double the amount and get my blood drawn once an hour for 3 hours. Has anyone done this test and NOT had it? And if I do have this, is it difficult to manage? Any insight would be appreciated.

My doctor's office (I'm in Maine, USA by the way) doesn't bother doing the 1 hour test because so many people fail it due to eating/drinking sweets, everyone does the 3 hour test and has to fast for at least 6hours (no eating or drinking anything after midnight and the lab here opens at 6am)

and I passed. I was only 1 or 2 points away from failing but they said it was fine.

I have GD but in Aystralia they don't even bother with the 1hr test anymore as nearly everyone fails it and it's a waste of time and then they just get sent for the 3hr one and they find most people pass that. So I wouldn't worry.GL if you end up with GD slip me a message I like to think I've become an expert have been dealing with it for 10w now by diet and 4x a day pricks. I'm now 36 w and baby is not measuring over at all. Wish u luck.

I haven't personally had to go thru it, but my sister in law failed her one hour test and went in for the three hour test and passed it with no problems. Thought this would help u feel a little better.
