Believe it or not, female pelvic bones actually separate in the final months of pregnancy, to help the baby pass through. I remember for my first (im only just now 6 weeks with #2) that it hurt to sit, but also hurt to stand. A friend gave me a giant yoga ball to sit on, and that was about the only comfortable seat I had!!

Sounds like your pelvic is getting ready for you to deliver in a couple weeks. I am pregnancy 9 and live baby 4 and I have got that with my last two pregnancy and this one. dr. says normal body just preparing for birth.

It sounds like Round Ligament Pain to me. The round ligaments attach to the uterus and they go down through the pelvis and attach down by the vagina. As the uterus grows it stretches the round ligaments causing pain that can shoot down through the pelvis, vagina, and groin. Sudden movements cause sharp shooting pains because the ligament is already stretched out.
