Q: close in age..

Hey ladies, I just found out that I am pregnant again and I'm terrified! My son is 11 months old and I also have a 4 year old. I want to hear from other moms that have babies this close in age because I'm so scared that my 11 month old will feel neglected when the baby is born. Did other mothers have this same fear? And how did you overcome it?Thanks!

My daughter will be about 3-1/2 by the time this one comes along. It isn't a planned pregnancy, we had been hoping for a 5 year age gape, so we'd have one in school and one in daycare, but that's not happening.

Everything will be fine, it will take a couple of weeks to get into a routine and things will be good. I understand how you are feeling, my dd was 5 mths when I got pregnant with my son. I was worried that she would feel pushed out because of the new baby taking up a lot of my time, but it wasn't the case, it came together perfectly. It also seems that I am pregnant again( should be about 7wks its a weird story need to go to drs ) and my son is now 1 and DD is 2.

My babies are 18 months apart, now 5 and 3.5 years old. They are the BEST friends you could imagine. Life was tough for the first year but now they play and entertain themselves and the love they have for each other is really beautiful to watch! You'll love it!

My girls are two years apart and they are best friends. They share a room and a lot of hand me downs. They have someone to play with all the time and someone to go to the bathroom at night time! It was hard at times but it was worth it. I did sometimes felt I was neglecting my oldest but I tried to balanced it, like when the bay was sleeping I will play with my oldest, read her books and just spend time with her.Good luck and congrats!

I don't have any advice but I am in the same boat. My daughter is only 5 months old and I'm 6 weeks pregnant... my due date is literally only a couple weeks after my daughters 1st birthday =( And my daughter came early so there's a good chance this baby will too =/ I am freaking the hell out. I'm hoping where my daughter is so young that she won't have jealousy problems

I don't have children yet but wanted to share that there is only 18 months between my sisters and I in terms of age (I'm February, they are twins born the following August). We had a great childhood and are still very very close (they were co-maids of honour at my wedding 2 years ago). I don't know what I'd do without them and LOVE that we are so close in age - it means that we get to go through life at the same pace and experience things at around the same time.

hi, theres 51 weeks between my boys and there will be 21 months between my youngest and this one. At first my eldest was a little jealous, but it didn't last long, now they are like best friends. we put them into their own beds at night and in the morning they are both in the same bed as my youngest has got in with my eldest. they do fight but siblings do. I wouldn't change how close I had them for the world.
