Q: Why d I have to go for more scans??

Hi, I went for my first scan yesterday and everything is fine with baby. I'm measuring exactly how I should be but they said because my first child was on the 7th percentile I have to have more scans. I'm not worried really but just not sure if there's a point in it. My daughter was 6Ib 6oz which I thought was an ok size and not too small. I'm only 5ft1. She was and still is perfectly healthy and barely even has a cold. Anyone know why they do this?

That sounds a bit strange to me. I am almost 5ft6 and my first baby was 6lb4oz and my docs thought that was normal as I'm quite slim.
