Q: Why do I feel this way??

It's 3 weeks after I had my little one and I just started feeling really depressed... I never felt this away with my first baby... but for some reason I do with this one... is it just because my hormones are not back to normal yet or is it something else??

I suffered from PPD (post partum depression) but I also suffered from depression before my pregnancy/birth. I was off my meds during pregnancy and did quite well but after the birth I had numerous things in my life that were keeping me unhappy (was living an hour from my family in a very small town with no one around) but it is largely hormonal. I loved my baby and actually really was excited to experience being a mother but couldn't stop myself from crying most days. I ended up having to go back on my meds and it helped stop the tears most days. I told my DH I needed to move back closer to my family in order to be happy and we did! I love where we live now and things are great and now I'm expecting my second. Hoping things are different this time. You are not alone. Let your doc know how you are feeling. I know meds aren't a nice thing to be on, but, if it helps right now, maybe you should.

It could be "post partum blues" and it's a great sign that your talking about it! I believe it is hormone related, but it's still hard, and I'm sorry you are feeling down. Try asking your partner, or a friend, to watch your little ones for a day, while you take a girls day out, or just do something for yourself! Your Dr may have other ideas and ways to help, too.
Good luck, and feel free to message me if you want to talk, too!
