I spotted after sex during my whole 1st trimester. Seeing blood while pregnant is very scary, but it is very common after sex.

Spotting after sex is pretty common. I wouldn't worry unless you start bleeding heavily and it doesn't stop. I have spotted many times this pregnancy after sex and it started at 5 weeks. I would still call your doctor's office as soon as you can and let them know it happened, especially because of your history. My OB told me to call every time I spot early on so they can monitor it and if you do start bleeding more I wouldn't hesitate to call them and leave a message with the answering service. There should always be a doctor on call that you can talk to.

When I had spotting early on they brought me in for an early scan. I continued to have spotting and sometimes bright red bleeding and they determined that my cervix is very sensitive and any sort of pressure or stress will make me bleed. I am 15 weeks and still experiencing some bleeding after sex or a bowel movement. My OB told me that as long as the bleeding stops within an hour and tapers off I shouldn't worry.
