Q: 37 weeks - belly shrinking?

I've always measured small with this baby which is weird since my last pregnancy, I was a house. Yesterday I just had a midwife appointment and baby is doing fine - heartrate good, good position and growing, albeit slowly. I was up all last night with the baby turning flip flops - head up, head down, transverse, kicking me in the ribs, in the crotch, all over the place. I woke up this morning and my belly is shrunk in half! I guess the baby dropped - seems to be head down now - but my belly is so small now! Hard to think it's just from a different position. Baby is moving fine this morning...but it still makes me nervous. I don't particularly notice any more pressure down low than usual. Any one experience major size change in last couple of weeks to SMALLER??

I've adjusted and realized that I'm not really SMALLER, but I feel smaller because the baby dropped, engaged and isn't pushing on my lungs anymore. I just changed shape.

I am only 33 weeks but my belly size really fluctuates too based on the position of the baby. One day I will feel super big, stretched way out front and my belly button is super shallow (although still an innie) and the next day I look like I am barely pregnant again and my belly button is as deep as it was pre-pregnancy. I think she is just sitting lower and towards my back on those days.

My belly looks to be "sagging" as well. My DH also said my belly looks a lot lower than it was. I also have some major pressure on my pelvic bone.. I am not sure if you actually experience dropping at my stage though being 33 weeks...

I am sure that LO has dropped, momma! It is the right timing for it! Plus everything looks great with baby. :)

I definitely didn't get any smaller, but three days before I had my first my belly started to sag. Looked like it was just going to fall off my body lol. I lost 5 lbs in the 5 days before I gave birth.
