Q: Heart Rate Dopplers

How soon will a Doppler work to hear the heart beat? What's a good one to buy?

The sonoline B works great with the 3hz probe. I didn't get mine until 12 weeks, but found the HB right away. I don't agree that they are all the same though. I have bought ones in the past that I was never able to pick up a HB through the whole pregnancy. fetaldoppler.net is the place to go.

I bought mine from http://www.fetaldoppler.net/. I got the Sonoline B and was able to find the heartbeat just before 10 weeks on the first try. When it is that early on it may take a few min to locate It took me about 5 min the first time, but as I got further it got faster each time and now I find it immediately. I have never had a problem with it and highly recommend it. It was $42.

I bought the Sonoline C1, it arrived 8w5d and I got the HB that day. I bought it on ebay for under $50. Best purchase ever...so reassuring!! =))

I bought the sonoline b from their website and got it within a few days. It was $49 and worked starting at around 10 weeks.

I bought one of eBay it was great worked from around 11 weeks. $45 USD came from Hong Konk or China from memory. They're all pretty much the same. Most of that stuff is made in China these days.
