Q: Should i be worried? Measuring 34cm small for gestational age.

I just turned 29 wks today i had a dr appointment and they measured me and the doctor said i was 25 cm she didnt seem too concerned about it she said it may be bc of babys position and left it at that. she didnt schedule a ultrasound nothing even after i told her i was only measuring 2 cm smaller 4 wks ago at 25 wks i was measuring 23 wks. should i be worried? Ive heard and read about uterine growth restriction and im worried my baby may have that even though my doctor doesnt think so. any advice? Has anyone else had similar experience and turned out to be nothing or something serious?

There is a lot of variation between women and even between pregnancies. With my 1st, I measured 3+cms big. With my 2nd, I measured right on. My 2nd was over half a pound BIGGER than my 1st.

I have been measuring small the whole pregnancy but baby has always been right on track measurement wise on ultrasound. You may just carry back farther instead of out front. I was always super worried about it too and requested an ultrasound. You can always ask them to do one. My doctor at least was very nice about it when I asked.

Your measurement can vary A LOT depending on baby's position. It's really nothing to be concerned about.
