Q: When is the best time to get a 3D ultrasound?

Im 27 weeks and I want to get a 3D ultrasound done but this is my first pregnancy and I don't know when the best time is. My next doctors appointment is the 9th of july.

PS have a look through the gallery pictures on her and see what weeks you like it's very helpful

I prefer later in the 30+ weeks to get good well developed facial shots. I had 3D at 20w 28w 32, 36w. I had high risk pregnancy. They always did 3D for me. I never got amazing shots as I had a anterior placenta which was always covering and blocking her face.

I've had several from 16 weeks to 32 and the one I had done at 27-28 weeks turned out the best the baby was just the right size to see all the little features
At 16 weeks he just looked like an alien and at 32 he was quite smooshed and we didn't get any good pictures

Around 28-32 weeks. The closer to 28 weeks the better pictures you can get.
