Q: Being induced with unfavorable cervix!

I'm scheduled to be induced this Sunday evening. I'll be 39 weeks. Being induced due to calcification of placenta. I was checked yesterday and was not dilated or effaced at all. I'm really worried and nervous because of that. I don't fear having a c section, I'm just scared to be in labor for an extensive period of time for it to only end in a c section. Can someone tell me what do expect when being induced? Anyone have experience being induced with unfavorable cervix??

Everyone takes to the medication differently. Just try to go through this with being optimistic. I'm sorry to hear you are going through this, but soon you will have baby in your arms!
With being induced you will go through contractions. Some may be stronger than others... it is mainly pressure, not pain. Hopefully they will make you comfortable with an epidural. An epidural without contractions you will feel A LOT of pressure going down your back and into your thighs, legs and toes. It does not take long before you feel relief though after them getting the catheter in your spine. I have a ton of strong muscles in my back so the doc has a hard time with me, but afterwards its not bad at all.
