Q: 22 weeks, to call the doctors again or not??

Hey guys! I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and for the last week I have been spotting bright red blood, on top of that I woke up this morning with braxton hicks contractions.

I called my doctor a couple days ago and she said as long as the bleeding is not heavier, I don't have a fever and I can still feel the baby then I'm fine.

So, has anyone else experienced this same scenario? I have a DD but after experiencing a loss last year I guess I'm just on edge here.

My next appointment is not until the 29th so I'm trying to decide o. Whether to wait till then or call tomorrow morning and request an earlier appointment.

Thanks!

Hey ladies! I just wanted to update you all and let you know everything checked out fine! My cervix is high and thick still but I may have a UTI infection that's causing the contractions and pain. No explanation for the spotting.

Thank you for all your help! :)

If you are questioning whether or not to call, then call. Even if it turns out to be nothing (which I hope it is nothing), you will feel more at ease because you called or went in. Besides, that's what your doctor is for. Better to be safe than sorry.

I would definitely call because it will put your mind at ease. I've called everything and even though my doctor thinks I'm crazy I simply just don't care anymore.

I'm a midwife and you need to be seen by obstetric team. Cannot speculate what or why but you should not be having any such symptoms.

I agree could be nothing or could be a cord placenta issue anything. I'd be going to A&E asap for a scan to see what's going on inside there. Best of luck hope all is well :-)

I would call. Bleeding can be very normal but it can also indicate something isn't right. U will never forgive urself should something go wrong between now and the 29th. Call or go to the ER...better safe than sorry.
Best of luck! =))
