Q: very large baby

I will be 35 weeks tomorrow and yesterday we had a growth scan to see where he was at. He was 7lb 3oz (i know they aren't 100% accurate, but close enough). His shoulders and belly were measuring 40w1d and the doctor decided to schedule a c-section for 39weeks. My worry is that the bigger he gets the more dangerous things could get. does anyone have any experience with this? I am really anxious and nervous, and now i am worried that the bigger he gets the more complications there could be. Any advice, tips, suggestions etc would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

Can u go for another couple of ultrasounds... I hear the growth scans can be off by 10 days. If it helps, I gave birth to over a ten pound baby.

Ask for more tests... Dont go thru surgery if u don't have too.

Growth scan are often very inaccurate. I wouldn't read too much into it. :-)
