Q: Gender Reveal Party
The idea of having a gender reveal party became popular after my son was born (we didn't find out the sex so I guess it wouldn't have mattered anyway) so I really want to have one this go-around (I don't think I could stand another nine months of not knowing). I have an appointment on Wednesday and I will be just one day shy of ten weeks (surely one day won't matter...). If they offer me the Harmony test, I am going to take it but I want the result kept secret and mailed to me. So here's my question: When is the earliest it's okay to have a gender reveal party?? If the results come back and reach me by 12 weeks, most people wait until 18 or 20. I doubt my husband will be able to resist knowing so is 15 weeks too early? 13 or 14? I might be able to buy myself some time with party planning but there's no way we'll be able to hold out longer than 15 weeks. Am I being tacky?? Be brutally honest. This question was asked Aug. 2, 2015 6:30pm
