Hello everyone
I had a very similar state with my body during the birth of my first baby. I couldn't understand what was going on with my body. It was so over-whelming. I was all lost within the imbalanced hormones during, and after the birth of my baby. I couldn't manage how to cope up with all the hot swings, and uncontrollable mood swings as well! I was bummed thinking my period was already back, but it ended up still being very irregular for the next few months. Imbalance in our hormones, and a disturbed menses is pretty normal with post-partum women, because the body is still trying to cope with all the heavy boost of the pregnancy hormones. It is said, that it usually takes up to another year before the body of the mother is completely on her normal routines of menses. You must leave your body as it is, and give it sometime to naturally get back on its natural cycle by its own. I went through the same with my second baby. But my doctor asked me to take it as normal as you can

My little girl is 4mths now. I bled for 9 weeks after her birth then it stopped then I got my cycle back. Bleeding for several weeks after is very normal before it stops and then you get your cycle back.

I am 6 weeks pp and had the same thing the other day. My bleeding from delivery stopped at 3 weeks pp but all the sudden I had bright red and some clots again. It only lasted a day and a half or so. I am guessing it was just from still being sensitive and easily irritated down there? I didn't call my ob because it stopped.but if it had lasted longer I would have called.
